Colour-coded ERO reports fail to ease principals' fears

The first Education Review Office reports with colour-coded tables to depict schools' performance has done little to allay principals' fears. The tables use green, orange and red boxes to signify excellence, doing well, working toward or needing improvement in fourteen areas including reading and writing, and teaching. Some principals have been worried the tables are too simplistic. Education correspondent John Gerritsen reports.
