Colts Cast: Up or Down? Post draft positional look at the Colts offense

The Indianapolis Colts have new expectations after another offseason of re-tooling their roster under GM Chris Ballard. They've made some offseason moves through free agency, and have added a group of rookies through the NFL Draft. Now, we need to assess what these changes have done to this roster for the upcoming 2020 NFL season. Today, in our first part of a two-part look, we take gander at the Colts' offense to see, by position, what the Colts have done in each area of the unit as a whole. Have they improved, stayed relatively level, or have they declined? Ballard and the Colts have added to the quarterback position in, both, free agency as well as the draft. They've added to the backfield in a couple different ways, have added another type of tight end, as well as what they perceive to be the missing piece to the receiver corps from the second round of the draft, and have high hopes for an addition to the offensive line. Overall, most likely feel that the offense is better than the 2019 version that was marred by key injuries, and very modest big-play ability to say the least.
