Come, Follow Me

Spring-cleaning! I look around my home and see all the ac- cumulated stuff I must dust and polish. One question comes to mind. Is it time to downsize? The thought of giving up items I have collected over my lifetime is a little sad. It is also liberating! Much of what I have I really do not need. The time, attention, and energy spent on them would be better spent with our Lord. How delighted He would be! “Therefore, be imitators of God, as beloved children. And walk in love as Christ loved us ...” (Ephesians 5:1-2) There is no friend like Jesus, who transforms us with His love. He gives Himself to us. When we follow Christ, we give ourselves to Him by loving Him in one another and giving to those whose needs are greater than our own. Amen!
