Come Home (John 3.16-19) - 6-4-23

June 4, 20231Samuel 7.1-6 and John 3.16-19Come HomeYou need saving. I need saving. The world needs saving. God’s plan was and is to make salvation available to all. Even though we deserve it, Jesus did not come to condemn us. He came to save us! Our home is with Jesus. And when we fall away, He wants us to return home. He wants us to come home.Gen 3:14-15; Gen 50:20; Exo 12:12-13; Jdg 7:7; 1Sa 7:3; Mar 1:14-15; Luk 15:17-19Satan is the father of lies and deception. He wanted Adam and Eve and prodigal son to believe they were missing out on something. He wanted them to forget all the good they had at home and focus on the things they did not have.The LORD wants to keep us from mess. Satan makes the mess alluring and attractive. It’s like putting bait on a hook. This fish sees the bait, falls for it, goes after it, and when the fish captures the bait by biting down on it, the fish is now captured.What’s the point? You and I have wronged God through our yielding to temptation and disobedience, we deserve condemnation. And although humankind has fallen over and over again, God loves us so much that He continues to extend His hand of mercy to us. This is good news! Joh 3:17 & Joh 10:10-11No matter what you and I have done in the past. Today is the day to fully return home. Home is where Jesus is. And remember, There’s no place like home.” Come home. If you have not accepted Christ, receive Him today. Heaven is waiting. Decide today. Come home. Amen.
