Come Just as you are

from Apologist Petras KG · host Apostle Joe Peterson

come just as you are account of the Pharisee and the tax collector. The Pharisee, standing by himself, prayed thus: ‘God, I thank you that I am not like other men, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even like this tax collector.  I fast twice a week; I give tithes of all that I get.’  But the tax collector, standing far off, would not even lift up his eyes to heaven, but beat his breast, saying, ‘God, be merciful to me, a sinner!’  I tell you, this man went down to his house justified, rather than the other. For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, but the one who humbles himself will be exalted.” Luke 18 :11 We come to him in weakness we are jars of clay, brittle, freakish and  fragile that they can easily break. it always has a warning handle with care. God isn't ignorant to know this. He is aware and has risked to invest in us a great treasure, a heavenly deposit. But we have this treasure in jars of clay, to show that the surpassing power belongs to God and not to us 2 CORINTHIANS 4:7 2 POINTS 1. CHRIST IDENTIFIES WITH US IN OUR WEAKNESS Jesus was in every way a man, he was made like his brothers in every respect Hebrews 2:17 Therefore he had to be made like his brothers in every respect, so that he might become a merciful and faithful high priest in the service of God, to make propitiation for the sins of the people.  For because he himself has suffered when tempted, he is able to help those who are being tempted. For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin. HEBREWS 4:15 Jesus feels you, when you cry, when the pain inside feels like a volcano waiting to burst, when you are all alone and abandoned, when you are betrayed by your best friend. pick any situation and he went through it yet didn't sin. 2. He is our High Priest in the order of Melchizedek. And Melchizedek king of Salem brought forth bread and wine: and he was the priest of the most high God.   And he blessed him, and said, Blessed be Abram of the most high God, possessor of heaven and earth: -He supplies our food and makes our heart glad. Consequently, he is able to save to the uttermost those who draw near to God through him, since he always lives to make intercession for them. since he knows our weakness and our failures he intercedes for us. Job declares My advocate is on High. Hebrews :7:25 THEREFORE we must not go back to the old system of drawing near to God by the law that appointed men in weakness but required them to fulfil the whole law(all failed) rather come to him as we are in our weakness for he chose us in him For the law appoints men in their weakness as high priests, but the word of the oath, which came later than the law, appoints a Son who has been made perfect forever.Hebrews 7:28

Song Against Songs, The by G. K. Chesterton (1874 - 1936) LibriVox LibriVox volunteers bring you 9 recordings of The Song Against Songs by G. K. Chesterton. This was the Fortnightly Poetry project for October 16, 2011.Chesterton was a large man, standing 6 feet 4 inches (1.93 m) and weighing around 21 stone (130 kg; 290 lb). His girth gave rise to a famous anecdote. During World War I a lady in London asked why he was not 'out at the Front'; he replied, 'If you go round to the side, you will see that I am.' On another occasion he remarked to his friend George Bernard Shaw: "To look at you, anyone would think a famine had struck England". Shaw retorted, "To look at you, anyone would think you have caused it". P. G. Wodehouse once described a very loud crash as "a sound like Chesterton falling onto a sheet of tin."( Summary from Wikipedia ) FINPOD: Ihr Finanzen-Podcast der schutzinvest® - solide investieren, Vermögen schützen!
