Come To The Feast

from Freedom Fellowship Wisconsin · host Pr. Brent Weide

So often we just sho up no expect to be fed. Many of us are missing out on the feast God has to offer. Jesus spoke about food a lot in the Bible. He used these examples because they are something we can relate to as humans. For this son of mine was dead and is alive again he was lost and is found. So they began to celebrate. Meanwhile the older son was in the field. When he came near the house, he heard music and dancing. So he called one of the servants and asked what was going on. “Your brother has come” he replied, “and your father has killed the fattened calf because he is safe and sound.” The oldest brother became angry an refused to go in. So his father went out and pleaded with him.  Luke 15: 24-28It’s easy for us to judge the world and be angry at the people in it. He ate with prostitutes and to collectors and was judged for it. He was questioned by the religious leaders and he rebuked them for being like the son who wouldn’t celebrate his brother’s return. But the pharisees and teachers of the law muttered,”This man welcomes sinners and eats with them”.
