Hour 1: Alvaro Gamboa is a Latino Comedian who sees life in color, with an eye on the funny. Brooklyn based stand-up comedian who grew up in Miami, Florida, Alvaro is a recent grad of Pace University. When Alvaro is not on stage, you can find him hosting the All Growth Podcast, discussing Growth for your Body, Heart, Mind and Soul. There, he does not shy away from sharing his observations on race, gender and class. Alvaro’s Comedic inspirations include: stand up comedians Richard Pryor, George Carlin, Eddie Murphy, George Lopez, and Dave Chappelle. Along with that his sketch comedy inspirations consist of SNL, MADTV, In Living Color, Chappelle’s Show, and Key & Peele. Hour 2: Debta Cohen My band opened up for Joan Jett at The Rathskeller in Boston, Massachusetts, in the eighties. No joke. But I messed up my life back then with drugs. Took me a long time to find my way "HaMakom". I started piecing my life back together in the 90's and moved to Nashville, TN, and formed a Blues band. Had some record label interest until they discovered my age (ageism). I gave up my dream and got a "real job". Retired early because of stress and moved to Florida to allow the ocean to calm my rattled nerves.
