What is true comfort?In Isaiah 40:1–2, God declares comfort to His people by proclaiming that their hard service is completed and that their sin has been paid for. This sermon explores the Biblical meaning of comfort, exile, and forgiveness through a Reformed, gospel-centered lens.Isaiah originally spoke these words for God’s people in exile, separated from God’s blessing presence because of their sin.
