Comic Book Nonsense in Egypt & America Knows it All - Movie: The Mummy (1999)

from Prizefighters, Circus Freaks & Gangsters · host Jamie Lewis & Greta Hardin

America - we know what's up. And we are not afraid to America-splain to you about how your country/culture works. That's right, we are just that good.Or bad.Or something. This is the FUN Mummy movie from 1999 - not the gritty reboot from 2017. So pop the popcorn and get ready for things to get a little silly. While Greta enjoys the comic book nonsense of it all, Jamie is skeptical that anything this ridiculous can be good. Shoot-em-ups, punch-em-ups, romance tropes, practical special effects for the mummies and early CGI - this has it all - and body paint!Jamie Lewis (plagueofstrength.com & IG @plagueofstrength)&Greta Hardin (The History of American Food podcast & @THoAFood all over)Look for us weekly and on Instagram & Threads: @pcgpodcast
