It's Tuesday and time for the Comic Talk Headlines with Dustin, aka, Generally Nerdy! Catch up on everything that's happening in the world of comic books, movies and TV on Tuesdays and Fridays and be sure to subscribe to get fresh daily content. Deadline is reporting that Netflix is actively in development on a Resident Evil series, and they are in cahouts with theproduction company that gave us the Movie franchise. They go on to report that the series will "keep the basic premiseof the series." Also that, "[it] will explore the dark inner workings of the Umbrella Corp, and the new world order causedby the outbreak of the T-Virus." It is currently unclear if the"basic premise of the series," is in reference to the gameor movie franchises, as they are anything but the same.https://deadline.com/2019/01/resident-evil-tv-series-in-works-netflix-1202541277/Next we have some very intriguing casting announcements from the CW's Batwoman series.First is Meagan Tandy (Charmed, Teen Wolf, Piranha 3DD) cast as potential love interest Sophie Moore.Second, Nicole Kang (Jack and Jane, You) cast as Mary Hamilton, Kate Kane's step sister.Third, and potentially the most exciting, is Camrus Johnson (Luke Cage) was cast as Luke Fox! Yeah Lucious's son, alsoknown as Batwing. The Deadline article didn't mention Batwing at all, but IMDB has his cast credit listed as Luke Fox/Batwing.... It seems that the demise ofRomulus has hit the commander a little harder than perhaps any of us properly knew.Switching Gears into movies, Geeks World Wide is reporting that Black Widow will begin production February 28th in both Croatiaand Miami. Sorry to end this on a sad note nerds,but Nintendo has effectively scrapped the elements they had set up for the game and are restarting the development process from theground up with a new developer. It seems their ad hoc style of development wasn't hitting the right benchmarks. So now we won't be seeing the game really anytime soon.
