Frank, who was born and raised in North Glasgow, was a sensitive, creative child in a culture that vehemently rejected Queer people. Frank's main childhood ally – his mother, Eileen – instilled in him a sense of pride that sustained him through dark days of violence and rejection. Frank has emerged from adversity to become an award-winning filmmaker.
