And this is Series 5 of You're Wrong About ADHD, where we give you fresh insights, real stories, and groundbreaking research for the challenge everything you thought you knew about ADHD. Yes, and we're back on your podcast feed every Wednesday with brand new episodes and a whole load of topics.
Because ADHD, for better or for worse, is part of the makeup of what makes us who we are. And so it sends its ripple effects across all corners of our lives. 70% of disabilities are invisible, and only 4% of people are disclosing this because they either don't want to be other or there's some kind of stigma which isn't associated with it, or a lot of people of my generation, we might never officially diagnose. And so we don't even know that we're a archetype merchant.
Quite often we get contacted by students that have failed their first year of university. It is the most grueling thing that they probably have to do in their lives. There's a lot of societal expectations on new mums in terms of what it looks like to be a good mum. And typically we don't like to conform to those societal expectations.
It can all be very overwhelming and just quite a lot. And don't miss our bonus episodes on Fridays where we take stock and dive even deeper into the world of ADHD. Oh, and let's not forget to tell my citizens. You can listen, on Global Player or wherever you get your podcasts.
That's right, see you soon!
