Coming Storm

This the first track of a songwriting session I did in mid-May, entirely composed and recorded in about 4 hours (most of which I wasted on solving technical issues). I wrote this as a simple jam track with a simple arpeggiated bass line and chord structure to test my setup and get in the songwriting mood. The drums (Simmons SDS emulated with Waldorf Attack plugin) are played by hand via a Roland Octapad II and are rather sloppy. I spent more time than I really wanted to record and edit the track and it's still very rough, but I think it has a certain appeal, so I'm putting it up here on SoundCloud and maybe somebody will enjoy it. Synthesizers used: Kurzweil PC 3 (Choir), Waldorf Microwave XTk (Bass, Lead 3), Yamaha AN1x (Lead 1, Lead 2), Waldorf Attack VST (Drums) Recorded with Tracktion 6 DAW on Windows 7.
