Commanders Running Back Battle Heats Up

The Commanders are doubling down on the run game this season, fueled by a revamped backfield loaded with talent and competition. New OC David Blough, who knows QB Jayden Daniels from their college days, is designing an offense that keeps Daniels protected and centers on the ground game. GM Adam Peters went all-in this offseason, bringing in Rachaad White (Daniels’ college teammate), Jerome Ford, undrafted Robert Henry, re-signing Jeremy McNichols, and drafting Kaytron Allen — all while keeping Jacory Croskey-Merritt in the mix. With White’s proven versatility and Daniels’ excitement about their past chemistry, the race for roster spots is heating up. From Croskey-Merritt’s TDs to Allen’s Penn State highlights, this depth could be the key to a breakout season — and someone might not even make the final cut.
