Commentary: County Commission throws pilot out of the airplane mid-flight

Imagine you were in a private plane, flying over the county.  All at once, the person in charge decides to fire the pilot and throw them out of the plane mid-flight.  And no one had a parachute. That’s the situation that your four remaining White Pine County Commissioners have put you in at the Wednesday, January 28th meeting.  Right in the middle of budget season, your County Commission voted to immediately dismiss the county Finance Director.  The decision was so irresponsible that Commissioner Janet Vancamp resigned. This Commission has gotten themselves into what will most likely be a lawsuit over the dismissal, but likely end up getting the County taken over by the State - again.  Forget calling this Commission Stooges or Keystone Kops. By the time this is over, the four remaining commissioners should be referred to as the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse.
