Commentary - The TRUTH should never depend on those with deep pockets...

Local news faces challenges that the listener can never understand.  For years I’ve reported local news without filters.  That means people get mad.  When we reported embezzlement from a local bank, when we reported on a lawsuit among members of a prominent local family, when we reported major local news stories, it caused problems with advertisers. Unlike newspapers, with guaranteed income from local government, we depend on advertisers. That’s why your support of the advertisers we DO have is most important. Without that, one more source of local news and information goes away.  Despite what the naysayers claim, Radio is not dead, and social media is no substitute for local news organizations.  Because we’re your neighbors.  We care about this community, and you know Social Media doesn’t give a damn about you.
