Commitment Sunday: November 24, 2024

God has blessed so many of us here in this part of the world, but we should notice what we give. We should feel it. Your giving is all about what you do with what you have. And everything that you have is a gift from God. So how do you steward that gift? How do you say thank you? What do you prioritize in your life? If you value this place, then in the days ahead, before commitment Sunday next week, I hope that you'll take a fresh look at your support for your church. One of my favorite sayings is: Don't give 'til it hurts; give 'til it feels good. Do you feel good about your support for the church? I hope you agree with me that PCM is awesome. The best. That the Presbyterian Church is awesome and worthy of your support. As the author of Hebrews says: "Let us hold fast to the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who has promised is faithful. And let us consider how to provoke one another toward love and good deeds." Well, that is what we do here each and every week and every day in between. So thank you for being a part of it, thank you for supporting it, and thanks be to God.
