Believers should go to the Bible for answers. The Bible is the tool to rebuke one another. John 21:15-19. Jesus is asking Peter if he loves Him with the greater love being that of brotherly love. How highly does you church relationships rank in importance to you? How much do you love them? When your love for your brethren is missing, you lack engagement in your church. Church discipline only works if the loss of the church relationships are important and a painful loss to you. Loving your fellow brethren is a commitment with a powerful testimony. Chasing finacial/career opportunities at the cost of losing your church family relationships is not worth it. Why is this sin more important than all these people to me? "...having compassion for one another". Whether you have experienced the pain or hardships or not, you should still be willing to try to see/understand/think of their hardship. "...tenderhearted". A willingness to be openhearted to prevent becoming callused. You always hope their story pans outs. Being tenderhearted is being open to the injury or possiblity of being abused while taking measures to have discernment. You are called to be blessing to people, to be their benefactor.
