Every person has to decide how to let your light shine, be the salt of the earth, and share the Good News. How do you do it? Rev. Phillip Thornton of the Dauphin County’s Legacy Faith Church in Pennsylvania used a unique but questionable way. During his preaching, he pulled out an AR-15-style rifle and started waving it around. It was reported that he even pointed it at the congregation. The authorities checked it and it was unloaded. Thornton’s friend said that his intentions were to “encourage spiritual violence toward unbelief.” I like his intention, but I think he needs to re-evaluate and get a better way to communicate it. Sometimes we just need to use good common sense. How are you encouraging people to help eliminate false faith and unbelief?
