During her time at Purdue University, Melanie assisted with several equine therapy-based programs that focused on high-risk youth and physical therapy.​Melanie is not currently practicing as a licensed mental health professional but does maintain her licensure with the state of Ohio. She previously provided therapy services through professional employment as a social worker in Ohio, working with individuals of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities. Her experience as a mental health professional brings a unique paradigm to her life coaching practice. Melanie continues to be passionate about helping children, families, and veterans. Melanie has been an active horsewoman for over 25 years. She has owned, judged horse shows, and trained horses on a personal and professional level over the years and was amanager for an international horse training facility. She has been regionally and nationally recognized for her efforts including in 1997, she was the Reserve Champion in the Morgan World Youth Judging competition. Melanie currently provides riding lessons and equine-assisted life coaching using her therapy-trained horse, Jasmine. Most recently, Melanie has completed her certification as a Reiki Master, which she brings to her life coaching through emotional and physical handling of both horse and person. Her experience in equine massage provides additional expertise in the physiology and psychology of animals and people.​Melanie is a natural-born animal communicator, spiritual and medical intuitive. She has always experienced spirit and is highly in tune with spirit, animals, and the environment.
