Community Focused

from Harvest Church Sunday Sermons · host Vern Streeter

In the Bible, the book of Acts is the fascinating, even mesmerizing story of the early gatherings (churches) of Jesus Christ. It is the inspiring chronicle of how the Church was founded and formed. 2000 years later it serves as a model of how we want to do church. At Harvest we have four biblical core values: Word Centered, Community Focused, Growth Expected, Fun Required. In a new sermon series entitled "Action" we are going to observe those four core values in the book of Acts, how they shaped the early followers of Jesus, and how they define our church today. Then we'll conclude the series on Compassion Weekend by observing one incredible role model who embodied our mission of "living Life as though Jesus were living through you." Christianity is not a passive belief system, it is a way of life that demands Action.
