Community Organization: Independence Diversity Task Force

Mission To promote diversity in the Independence Community. Our Goals: In the spirit of inclusiveness, there will be 10 leaders representing diverse populations serving on board in the community by the end of 2011. In the spirit of inclusiveness, there will be 10 leaders representing diverse populations completing Leadership Independence by the end of 2011.   History The Independence Diversity Task Force was created by Leadership Independence to help promote diversity in the Independence, KS community. We begin this process with a Diversity Summit on April 4, 2009 bringing members from our community for many different walks of life to gather. We continue to promote diversity through a variety of events. If you are experiencing a problem, concern, or have an idea in regards to diversity please let us know.
