Compassion of the Christ

from Christ Community Church of Pembroke Pines · host Christ Community Church

The Servant of God “Compassion of the Christ” Ma. 10:46-52 Persistence of Faith (vv.46-48) For the word of the cross is folly to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God (1 Cor. 1:18) So, I won’t hesitate to tell you that an entire life here in physical blindness isn’t nearly as bad- as dangerous as being spiritually blind for a lifetime. Physical blindness may be difficult- spiritual blindness damns. 32 He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. And the Lord God will give to him the throne of his father David, 33 and he will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of his kingdom there will be no end.” (Lu. 1:32-33). Obedience of Faith (vv.49-50) Deliverance of Faith (vv.51-52) The LORD opens the eyes of the blind; The LORD raises up those who are bowed down; The LORD loves the righteous; (Psa 146:8) Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf unstopped; (Isa. 35:5) “If God had perceived that our greatest need was economic, he would have sent an economist. If he had perceived that our greatest need was entertainment, he would have sent us a comedian or an artist. If God had perceived that our greatest need was political stability, he would have sent us a politician. If he had perceived that our greatest need was health, he would have sent us a doctor. But he perceived that our greatest need involved our sin, our alienation from him, our profound rebellion, our death; and he sent us a Savior.” - D.A. Carson -
