Compassion on the Distracted - Dallin's Quick Thoughts - #295
from YIELD Today With Dallin Candland · host Dallin
When we fall short, it can be quite frustrating. When this seems to happen all because of getting distracted in one decisive moment, it can be nearly debilitating. Here's my quick thoughts on having compassion on ourselves in times where this happens. It comes down to going towards things that will help you regain your focus, letting things pass, and playing the long game. Always a work in progress though. It feels good to be back in the studio (aka my parent's garage) with much better recording capabilities and quality. Thank you as always for all the support. :) More From Me:My Medium:https://medium.com/@DallinsYieldCommunity on Discord: https://discord.com/invite/KR5cdstcEBMy Twitter: https://twitter.com/dallinsyieldQuotes:1:10 - "You just need to serve the next customer." (delivering pizza is like getting daily wins analogy)2:10 - When you get distracted, go to something that you know is going to help you out with regaining focus (juggling and prayer work well for me)4:03 - Respect the identity you are trying to serve in that moment5:10 - Showing compassion on yourself in the moment doesn't seem like it's doing anything, but it's going to add up a TON in the longterm picture.Support the show
