Competing Solar Farms, Competing Government Corruption?

The Solar Farm Fiasco is getting weirder and weirder.  We told you earlier that the County Commission is pushing hard to get Ordinance 540, enabling legislation on what to do with Airport land to be sold, ostensibly for a Solar Farm.  But also on this week's County Commission Agenda is an item to write a letter opposing the Samantha Solar Variance Application west of Ruth.  The same project that the Ely City Council is set to support on Thursday.  Is the county playing favorites to benefit, again, commissioners or former employees?  Or is this just government corruption as usual on both the part of the City and County?  The county meets at 9am Wednesday at the library, City meets Thursday at 5 in the Volunteer Fire Hall.  If nothing else, both meetings should be fiery and entertaining.
