What’s it going to take to rebuild our society?Compassion for the hurting – prayerConfidence in God – His promisesCourage – in the face of opposition and persecutionConfrontation – confronting sin in the ChurchWill our efforts be in vain?  We know that Christ will ultimately defeat His enemies and we will celebrate the victory for eternity.  However, are we wasting our time on these temporal battles?  Are our efforts doomed to fail because of the fallenness of man, the prevalence of sin in our culture, and the weakened state of the church. The government is becoming increasingly hostile to Christianity and increasingly pervasive in our lives.  The church in America seems weary, impotent, and apathetic. The family is being redefined to mean anything and nothing. Good news!  Not only was Nehemiah successful in his work to rebuild the walls of Jerusalem, but we are already victorious and daily overcoming our enemies.
