Hola apasionados del taekwondo ¿cómo están? Bienvenidos a un nuevo episodio del podcast Pasión Taekwondo.Como competidor siempre tuve un color favorito.El rojo, no sé por qué. Incluso para entrenar me gustaba más utilizar el equipo de protección en color rojo.Y bueno, hace tiempo encontré unos artículos que me decían que sin saberlo elegía el mejor color para ganar.El color tiene influencia en el deporte (no solo en deportes de combate).En 2004 se hicieron unos estudios en los Juegos Olímpicos de Atenas en deportes de combate: lucha, boxeo y taekwondo. Los científicos encontraron que en combates de nivel equilibrado los atletas que utilizaban equipamiento rojo ganaban más combates que los que utilizaban azul.Al parecer psicologicamente interpretamos el color rojo como un color dominante, entonces puede ser que la persona que enfrente a un oponente vistiendo este color inconscientemente tome una actitud más sumisa que la que tomaría si enfrentara a un oponente de otro color.En algunos simios grandes la cara del macho dominante tiene un tinte más rojizo que la de el resto de miembros.Se han hecho otros estudios similares en los que se han encontrado cosas aún más increíbles. Por ejemplo, pusieron a unos jueces a calificar unos combates de taekwondo en vídeo. Pero alteraron digitalmente el color del equipo de los participantes.Los jueces otorgaban más puntos a los atletas en color rojo, entonces al parecer el color rojo también puede afectar a los jueces.Hay otro estudio que encontró que el color rojo no solo afecta a los jueces y al rival, sino que también afecta positivamente parametros físicos en el deportista que utiliza este color (frecuencia cardiaca y fuerza).Estudios similares se han hecho en otros deportes de combate. Por ejemplo en otro estudio con el judo se encontró que en ese arte marcial estadísticamente el color blanco es más exitoso.Se cree que porque resalta más el color blanco y es más fácil reaccionar ante ese color.En otros deportes.Las personas que han dedicado tiempo a estas investigaciones supusieron que si tiene influencia en la competencia, también históricamente el color debía de afectar.En la Liga Premier Inglesa de futbol, se hizo un estudio y se descubrió lo mismo, históricamente los equipos en rojo han sido más exitosos que otros.Es interesante aunque hay que señalar que por mucha influencia que el color tenga es mínima con respecto al nivel, si enfrentas a Steven Lopez, Aaron Cook, Carlos Navarro o a cualquier atleta de la élite del taekwondo no importa que color de equipo uses. Tendrás que entrenar muy bien.
