Concert Buddie | Making Records with Hellbender Vinyl (Jeff Betten)

from Vinyl Community Podcasts · host vinylcommunitypodcasts

Buddies, you know how important quality and good sounding vinyl are to record collectors everywhere. Today on the pod I speak with Jeff Betten, founder of Hellbender Vinyl in Pittsburgh, PA who gives us a peak behind the curtain of their facility. Open for just under two years now, Hellbender has quickly developed a reputation for quality and creative solutions. As Jeff says "if you can dream it up, we can make it happen". Here Jeff shares the origins of Hellbender, and how an ambitious idea turned into a business plan, and then a full-fledged pressing plant in a town synonymous with building and making things. That local DNA isn't lost on them, including their mission statement: "Hellbent on quality. Hellbent on service. One of America's most trusted vinyl record pressing plants". Jeff is a musician himself and has been part of the Pittsburgh music scene for a bit, including time spent at a couple labels in the city. From large runs for household names acts, to smaller orders for indie bands just breaking in, Hellbender serves artists and their fans alike by creating great vinyl to share with the world. Chinook Realm Religion and crime collide when a gruesome murder rocks the isolated community of Chinook, Montana. Local Deputy Ruth Vogel thought she was answering a routine animal control call, only to find a mangled corpse on the frozen embankment. Enter Agent Loro, an enigmatic FBI investigator tracking an evangelical cult that may have roots right here in Chinook.
