Concert Buddie | VCP Turns One Special: Finding Friends in Record Collecting

from Vinyl Community Podcasts · host vinylcommunitypodcasts

Buddies - to celebrate a milestone here at the pod, we are extremely lucky to be joined by guest numero uno here on VCP: Matt Sands, co-owner of Gold Pan Records in Hillsboro, IL. But Matt brought two of his best pals to this episode to discuss one of the best things about this Vinyl Community of ours: fellowship. Joined us on this voyage are Sam "The Psych Professor", regular companion on Matt's YouTube channel, and their friend and shop owner of Noble Records in Matthews, North Carolina, Dillon Smith (aka The Silver Button Sniper), fresh off joining the ranks of the 100k Sub Club. We discuss how these guys started their respective journeys, and how YouTube and the Vinyl Community at large helped them meet, become fast friends, and make them all better collectors (and store owners) for it. This was one of our favorite episodes, and a great way to kick off year Two of Vinyl Community Podcasts!   On the serious tip, thank you for your support, encouragement, and patronage as this project has taken off and evolved. Each and every comment, like, download, and rating (yes, please rate us) helps fuel us to continue this project. It's no accident that it's called "Vinyl Community" Podcasts for a reason, and you, by listening and joining us for these programs, are most certainly a big part of that community.    For more information on host Concert Buddie: https://www.youtube.com/@ConcertBuddie   For more information on Matt Sands and Sam The Psych Professor + Gold Pan Records: YouTube https://www.youtube.com/@sandsy04 Facebook https://www.facebook.com/thegoldpan Instagram https://www.instagram.com/thegoldpan/   For more information on Dillon Smith + Noble Records: YouTube https://www.youtube.com/@noblerecords Instagram https://www.instagram.com/noblerecords Facebook https://www.facebook.com/NobleRecordstore WhatNot: https://www.whatnot.com/user/noblerecords   For more information on Vinyl Community Podcasts: https://vinylcommunitypodcasts.com https://www.instagram.com/vinylcommunitypodcasts     As always, friends of the show Vinyl Storage Solutions offer you a chance to save everyday on the best sleeves in the business using one of the following codes for 10% off: https://vinylstoragesolutions.ca CONCERTBUDDIE VCP10

Chinook Realm Religion and crime collide when a gruesome murder rocks the isolated community of Chinook, Montana. Local Deputy Ruth Vogel thought she was answering a routine animal control call, only to find a mangled corpse on the frozen embankment. Her small town is whipped into a frenzy and everyone is quick to point their fingers at a drug-addicted teenager, but Ruth suspects connections to a powerful religious group. Enter Agent Loro, an enigmatic FBI investigator tracking an evangelical cult that may have roots right here in Chinook. Loro and Ruth form a cautious partnership to find the killer—but as the mystery winds through Ruth’s life, her family, and her church, she’ll discover something more sinister than murder is afoot.Binge all episodes of Chinook exclusively and ad-free by joining Wondery+ in the Wondery App, Apple Podcasts or Spotify.
