Concluding 2022

2022 was a year that Economics profs will talk about for some time. There was geo-political uncertainty, environmental disasters and load shedding. Inflation and interest rates skyrocketed and in some way the economy grew a little and created jobs. Acknowledgements I am grateful for the financial support from the NWU Business School and Jan van Romburg who believed in the project. Thanks also for the in-kind support from the Bureau of Economic Research and specifically for Helanya Fourie. The Minute is also broadcasted and I am glad it is being used in this way.
