Bárbara Ernestina Torres nació en en la ciudad de Mar de Plata, Argentina, y desde una edad muy temprana mostró interés por la industria del entretenimiento. A los 17 años, Bárbara se mudó a Buenos Aires para estudiar actuación dentro de la Escuela Nacional de Arte Dramático Cunill Cabanellas, de donde egresó como profesora de teatro. A principios de los años 2000 se trasladó a la Ciudad de México. En 2002, hizo su casting para el programa de La Familia P. Luche y consiguió el papel de Excelsa. Dentro de aquella serie compartió créditos con Eugenio Derbez, Regina Blandón y Consuelo Duval. En la entrevista junto a Marcela Laura Fernández y Guillermo Sammartino cuenta anécdotas únicas de sus primeros años en Argentina hasta llegar a su presente en México.
