Confessional Corner: What Is the Lord's Supper? (SD VII 1-41)

Against the Sacramentarians' opinion, this is what is taught in the Augsburg Confession from God's Word about the Lord's Supper: "That the body and blood of Christ are truly present and distributed to those who eat the Lord's Supper" [AC X 1]. The contrary doctrine is rejected (namely, that of the Sacramentarians, who presented their own confession at the same time at Augsburg. They said that the body of Christ, because He has ascended to Heaven, is not truly and essentially present here on earth in the Sacrament).
