Confidently Wrong

Every unit has that moment when someone says something with absolute confidence… and it’s completely wrong. In this episode, we’re breaking down the most confidently incorrect statements ever heard in uniform, from bad gear advice and wild regulations to leadership myths, barracks science, and “trust me, I’ve been in for years” logic that didn’t survive a Google search. Veterans and current service members share the quotes that made them pause, look around, and wonder how nobody questioned it sooner. It’s a mix of military humor, shared experiences, and the kind of moments that make you laugh long after you hang up the uniform. If you’ve ever heard someone double down on being wrong, with rank to back it up, this episode is for you.
