Now it was next to impossible for a person of her statue to be imprisoned, so it was said that she was confined to a Castle in Slovakia in until her death.The nature of Báthory's confinement - like the exact nature of her crimes - has been subject to some debate. Initially, it was believed that she was bricked into a room in the castle.
