Conflations & Synonyms

from easytopia! · host Herschel Sterling

There has been a lot of conflation. Some of it is on purpose, and some of it is just convenient for the political class. Regardless, there is no interest in correcting the confusion people have when they conflate concepts. If the bad definitions and false equivalences create more chaos, that helps the non-producers keep their jobs in government. So, they let it fly. Here are some terms that are often conflated, and I’ll add these word studies as a section to my podcast. I have to think of a short definition for the subject line brackets. These are the biggest ones. There are others. Can you add some to the comments? * Libertarianism & Fascism * Feminism & Misandry * Decolonization & Recolonization (or just different colonization.) * Speech & Violence * Free Speech &. Hate Speech * Natural Law & Civil Law Today I’m pleased to play a promo for you from DJ Isclay and his podcast Entropian Odyssey. This is my first foray into co-promotion. I do enjoy his Cerulean Cafe podcast. I listen to it. It is one of those ‘news of the weird’ shows. I’ll be adding episode numbers into the audio from now on so people don’t get confused when I use a canned intro. This is a public episode.
