Ludwig van Beethoven naît en 1770 à Bonn, en Allemagne, et montre très jeune un grand talent pour la musique. Il devient un pianiste et compositeur célèbre à Vienne, où il crée des œuvres puissantes et pleines d’émotion. Malgré une surdité qui apparaît vers l’âge de 30 ans, il continue de composer certains des plus grands chefs-d’œuvre de la musique classique, comme la célèbre Symphonie n°9 et son Hymne à la joie.
