Our root chakra is the base of our life force, and acts as the link between the outside physical world, and our internal energetic system. It gives us the motivation to get up each day, eat, and procreate. It is what governs basic needs in life, such as food / water / shelter / community / belonging, as well as our basic emotional needs, such as letting go of fear, and leaning into trust. Balancing the root chakra is the foundation to create anything in this lifetime. A balanced root chakra is also connected to a regulated nervous system, which allows us to face challenges and difficulties with more ease.
