Connecting with Your Identity and Making an Impact

On this week's episode of the CUFI Middle East Briefing, Kasim sits down with Michelle Rojas-Tal, Central Shlicha to Hillel International and Director of the Jewish Agency Israel Fellows program. Through directing the Jewish Agency Israel Fellows program, Michelle helps to support Jewish college students in today's hostile and challenging environment by encouraging a dynamic and engaging Israeli presence on college campuses. As the daughter of a Jewish mother and a Hispanic father, Michelle grew up in a unique environment and had very little connection to the Jewish world during her childhood. During her junior year of high school, the tragic event of September 11th led to a domino effect that took her eventually to Israel. Over the following years, she began devoting her life to Israel and the Jewish people.
