Connections To Sunrises - Daily Thought With Coach Daly - Thur. 6-26-25 #1597

“Send Coach John a message”Wow.. what a fun one this one was to put together. I tried a video recording along with recording the audio on my phone. The video will be on my Youtube channel so I can put it out there and start to do some different things. Not sure what all of those are, but I’m trying them for sure.  The idea from this episode mainly came from a former student of mine, Rynn Foster who posted this awesome picture of a sunrise with the thought: “One day we’ll all be a sunrise in someone’s life, a beautiful sunrise” That got me thinking about the fact how special that will be having someone remember me when they look at a beautiful sunrise (or sunset too), along with the fact that it got me thinking about family and loved ones that are no longer here or those that I have not seen in a long time.  There were a lot of emotions with this post when I saw it as my day got started out thinking about things in a more positive way, wanting to get better for myself and for others - especially in today’s negative, angry and hateful world. Rynn helped to remind me of what I want to focus more on - I reached out to her and thanked her for this and it reminds me of one of many things that I love about being a life-long educator.  My students / players / coworkers have always been difference makers for me and for many of them, it’s been happening throughout my whole life!!
