from The Catholic Morning Show · host Bo Bonner, Deacon Mark Campbell, Mark Amadeo, Connor Lynch, Fr. Nick Smith, Katie Patrizio, Dr. Matthew Muller

Bo Bonner and Deacon Mark Campbell open Wednesday of the Twenty-Second Week in Ordinary Time, with Mass today at 12:15 p.m. at Saint Mary in Pella (95.7 FM). Today's Saint of the Day is Saint Agricola of Avignon (c. 625–700), who entered the monastery around age fourteen, was consecrated coadjutor bishop by his own father, Bishop Magnus, and later succeeded him as Bishop of Avignon. He was named patron of Avignon in 1647. Seminarian Connor Lynch Deacon Mark Campbell talks with Connor Lynch, a seminarian for the Diocese of Des Moines studying at the Pontifical North American College in Rome, about a summer assignment at the Basilica of Saint John in Des Moines and the year ahead. Connor will be ordained a transitional deacon on October 1 — the feast of Saint Thérèse — and ordained a priest in late June 2027. Learn more about diocesan vocations at dmdiocese.org and about the Basilica at BasilicaOfStJohn.org. Dr. Matthew Muller — The Church in an Algorithmic Age Dr. Matthew Muller, assistant professor of theology at Benedictine College and director of the Symposium on Transforming Culture, previews this weekend's conference in Atchison, Kansas — Friday evening, September 4 through Saturday, September 5. Keynotes come from Dr. Paul Scherz (theology, University of Notre Dame), Dr. Kristin Collier, MD (internal medicine, University of Michigan), and Matthew Sanders, CEO of Longbeard and Magisterium AI, with more than sixty breakout presentations and a featured panel on technology and the sacred with Dr. James Madden and Bo Bonner. Registration and the full lineup are at Benedictine College.
