Over time, however, he developed an addiction to food and gained weight in high school and beyond. He hid behind the humor and let people make jokes about his obesity. He even played along. But he has an amazing story and has reclaimed his health! CONQUERING THE YO-YO After yo-yoing, he ended up at 407 lbs around 47 years old at 5'10". When he 're-met' his wife, he knew he had to do something. He tried CICO, lived at the gym, and more. It didn't work! For awhile, he felt helpless. Gaining and losing hundreds of pounds like Ed did is really bad for your body and all of your organs. He got down to 230s and back up to 330 in 2017. Then, his wife found this book: Fitness Confidential. At the time he was trying meal plans but began researching keto and realized the plans were a waste of money. And then, the real change began! BELIEVING IN THE PROCESS As he kept reading, the wealth of knowledge built up. He feels that if you don't believe in what you're trying to do, you won't really be able to do it. He also incorporated some fasting. In 6 months, he lost 100 lbs and was down to about 225. He started walking and counting his steps. One day, he got up to 100,000 steps. Ed did this at least a dozen times. And then, he began running. He only did this after he began losing weight! Start with walking! Ed has done some ultra events now. He did 200 miles recently!
