Consecrated for Service (Leviticus 8)

In this elaborate ordination ceremony, Aaron and his sons are washed, clothed, and anointed. They are consecrated as God's servants—mediators who represent the people before God. Where do we see priests today? We may not all be ordained ministers, but the church is a "kingdom of priests" in the Lord's service. We are to consecrate our lives for the Lord's purposes, even as we look continually to our Great High Priest.
