Haggai 1:1-2:23 | The little 2500-year-old obscure Minor Prophet book Haggai describes our age better than almost anywhere else in the whole Bible. God calls out His people for pursuing comfort and wealth over putting God first. As a bit of an anomaly for Old Testament prophets, the people actually responded positively with sincere heart change that led to changed behavior and they put God and His work first in their lives. Haggai shows us what we know to be true of our own experience, putting God first is what actually leads to deep satisfaction, blessing, and peace.
