Consider Your Ways: Haggai 1:5-7: Day 3
from Walk With Me · host Alisa
Before God calls His people to rebuild, He calls them to honestly examine the direction of their lives. Then God says something twice:“Consider your ways.”Stop.Look.Pay attention to the direction your life is going. The people are incredibly busy. They're planting, eating, drinking, working, earning. But somehow, nothing seems to satisfy. They sow much and harvest little. They eat but never feel full. They earn money and it disappears like they're putting it into a bag with holes. And God's first instruction isn't:Do more. It's:Look at your life.Because sometimes we're moving so quickly that we never stop to ask whether all our movement is actually taking us somewhere worth going.Haggai invites us to examine not just what we say matters to us, but what our lives reveal matters to us.Our time. Our attention. Our energy. Our desires. Our decisions. Before changing direction, sometimes we first need the courage to notice where we're actually headed.💬 Reflect: If you honestly looked at where your time, attention, energy, and thoughts have been going lately, what would they say matters most to you?
