Considering Ending Her Life

Today Dr. Jeff Buske is talking to us about missing out on relationships.  He recalls a story about a patient he had recently.  When he met this woman, she wasn’t in a great place as Jeff sat down to listen to her story and work with her on what she was hoping to achieve.  Weeks later, after her procedure, the woman gave Jeff a card to thank him.  She shared with him that when she first met him, she was in a dark place, considering ending her life.  She goes on to tell Jeff that the love, compassion, and care she received from him helped change that course of direction.   Being present for someone can make all the difference in the world.  So whether it’s your kids, your spouse, or your team, try to just be present.  Put down the phone, forget about work, and just invest in someone else.
