Constitutional Values Didn’t Fail Us, Our Ignorance Did | 9/21/23

from Conservative Review with Daniel Horowitz · host Blaze Podcast Network

Did the Constitution and its classical liberal values fail us? Today, I make the case that although imperfect, our Constitution was indeed the best system and there is no better alternative. However, no form of government can survive an ignorant, complacent, and uninformed population. I argue that not only do we have "normie" swing voters who are uninformed to the gravity of our societal collapse, we face "normie Republicans" who are completely uninformed about what their own party is doing. This has allowed Trump to get away with so many policy betrayals. Few people outside Twitter even follow these things. This is the same reason why nearly every incumbent RINO wins re-election in deep red states. Finally, I discuss the difference between "governing Trump" and "campaign Trump" and how his interviews with reporters bring out that dichotomy.   Learn more about your ad choices.
