Writer and activist Tiq Milan discusses his journey to self-determining his authentic masculine expression as a trans-man. Destin questions him about the crisis of masculinity and how he views himself in relationship to that struggle. Finally, they discuss some of the "uncomfortable" questions surrounding trans* identity, including surgery, and acceptance of the body versus modifying it. Tiq speaks and writes about intersectional leadership, transgender rights and racial justice. He shares stories of his life and how his transgender experience has informed his views on masculinity, race and the gender binary. A journalist for over a decade his work has appeared on MIC, Buzzfeed, NBC and CNN. He is also a strategic media consultant helping organizations and companies create detailed media campaigns that will engage diverse audiences in ways that are inclusive and authentic. Tiq has been most inspired by his years mentoring LGBT youth at the Bronx Community Pride Center and the Hetrick Martin Institute in the New York city. He was able to witness first hand the intersectional lived experiences of gay and trans youth and how it is affected by social systems put in place to help them. He most recently was the Senior Media Strategist and National Spokesperson for GLAAD where he utlilized the media to call attention to the needs of the lgbt community, particularly transgender people of color.  He is currently the Co-Founder of Milan Media Arts Productions along with his wife Kim Katrin Milan. Outside the Camp - Reconstructionist Radio (Audiobook) Dr. Jason Garwood The COVID-19 global pandemic took the world by surprise and many were left wondering if the cure was, in fact, worse than the disease. This was especially true as time went on and the narrative evolved. However, it wasn't just a mass of confusion from the U.S. government and media outlets; many Christians were and are to this day unsure of how to approach medical ethics. Should Christians simply do whatever the "experts" tell them? Does the civil magistrate have jurisdiction over so-called "public health"? What about the leprosy passage in Leviticus 13 & 14 -- can this be used as a guide for developing public health policies? In this short book, Dr. Jason Garwood revisits the Levitical passage and makes the case that no, the magistrate has no authority or jurisdiction over public health. Rather than making assumptions about the leprosy passage, it is our Christian duty to draw the proper lines as we seek to teach the nations how to obey Christ. Remembering I'm an Animal Billy Baker An adventure in wild ideas and wild behaviors, all to answer the question: Can acting like a Homo sapiens make you feel more human? We identify the fundamental evolved abilities programmed into our DNA, the things we were born to do, and then attempt to express them. Or something like that. It's usually a bit of a mess, but the truth is that our restoration project is working. Come join us. Hosted by a mostly mediocre writer named Billy Baker, and a definitely mediocre scientist named Dr. Jody Simoes, who allegedly has a Ph.D in something to do with fisheries and wildlife.
