Consumer NZ CEO: Jon Duffy says your contract is with the seller, not the delivery company

A New Zealand Post worker's been caught on video throwing parcels from a carrier bin onto the ground. NZ Post has unreservedly apologised for what it says is a one-off incident. CEO of Consumer NZ, Jon Duffy, told Heather du Plessis-Allan it was pretty disappointing to see. “Your contract is with the seller and then the seller is the one who has arranged for the delivery, so if something turns up and it’s broken, you can send that back to the seller and, either, get a replacement or a refund under the Consumer Guarantees Act.” LISTEN ABOVESee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
