Consuming. Few of us understand what it takes to render an animal for our consumption. This country slaughters billion of animals each year and 30 to 40% end up as waste deposited as garbage in landfills. That's nearly criminal if not immoral. Killing animals is a big business. We not only have a dead beat government with 32 trillion dollars in debt, we have a wasteful society. In a grotesque move our U.S. Food and Drug Administration has approved a company for the growing of chicken cells in a laboratory to produce chicken meat.
