"Vive la République et SOS Racisme, à mort les communautés et les identités !" Seulement 6% des Français ont déjà entendu parler de la cancel culture mais sa dynamique politique est puissante, "bien plus que son poids réel" (c'est le cas de nombreuses communautés en ligne, comme le Printemps Républicain, ou de nombreux influenceurs). Thierry Keller, directeur des rédactions d’Usbek & Rica, "le magazine qui explore le futur" -, s’inquiète de la puissance que les "'vengeurs masqués de la cancel culture", des mouvements identitaires et communautaires, sont en train d’acquérir. Pour ce "républicain de gauche" (pléonasme ?) accro à l’universalisme, à l’identité politique essentiellement marquée par SOS Racisme, les fondements de l’idéal républicain et les piliers de la société française sont en danger. Thierry se dit prêt à combattre. Il pense que, sous couvert de progressisme inclusif, et fort de concepts empruntés à l’extrême-droite, le mouvement woke porterait la "guerre de tous contre tous" et pourrait tuer l’humanisme.
